Rain or shine **Video Clip**

Post by flyfish » Wed Nov 14, 2018 7:37 pm

Some action from on the river yesterday of the lower North Is. Certainly a mixed bag of weather that was forecast fine all day?!

Nah never Tiddler!... I did wince a bit when a few trees and sticks started coming down and the river rose a bit though... been there, done that... trapped for days is not pleasant! Cheers

Fantastic stuff Andrew! I was thinking of you over the weekend. I spend a long weekend in Fiordland fishing an amazing river. Gezz did it rain or what? Amazing how much rain the rivers in there can take without becoming un-fishable? The scenery was just gob-smacking and that's from someone that already lives in amazing scenery. I reckon you would have been able to capture it far better than me with my mobile phone? Not a fish under 5lb and every one of them looked like they had jumped of the page of one of those old lithographs.

We got out late last night which is very lucky as its currently snowing hard here in Queenstown. Power has been out for the morning and my guess is it will be out again later today?

PS. I came so close to hooking a lovely fish in the cauldron at the bottom of that waterfall. Was a silly schoolboy mistake in my excitement. Il be back to settle that score! :P

Nothing much wrong with your phone photos Fraser - certainly better than no photos. Certainly agree about the scenery - and lucky that you got out last night. Weather here today has been rain, hail and snow so Fiordland wouldn't have been "pleasant".

Not bad pics Fraser for a phone! Yeah beautiful part of the country. We're lucky up here, no weather bomb as the met-muppets like to call it, just usual spring conditions despite them forecasting what seemed like the storm of the century!... Cheers

I think your mobile pics are great, Fraser.
Dig your sun gloves, where'd you get 'em ?

Cheers
