Tips for Golden Bay?

I'm holidaying in Golden Bay (Puponga) between Xmas and New Years. I'm wondering if someone would be kind enough to suggest somewhere I could spend a day fishing with a reasonable chance of success please or even would like to join me for a day out. Take yr salt rod and have a crack for the kingies up there...... it’s right there in front of you in Puponga....

Hell bro, smack bank in the kingie county. Take an 8# (as a minimum) and be ready to have your heart rate go to through the roof. I wished I could be there now!
