Been using this for a couple of years now early season. The head has the eye area covered in UV resin. The body is some clear mylar stuff called Flexicord I found with a black lateral line through it, much like the real thing. Anyway, it seems to work...

Nice - obvious question, where did you find that cord? Its much better looking than the mylar cord I have for the same purpose.

Also have you coated the cord in something to stop it unraveling?

Hey Andy. I think it was the Fishermans Loft. It was a while ago now. I just cut the end on an angle and give it a quick burn to seal the end strands. Seems to work ok.

Reviving an old thread, due to an searunners trip coming up in a couple of weeks.

Looks like a great pattern Johnno. Will have to rummage through my tying kit and see if I can find anything similar to use?

Ive tutu’ed with it a bit. The rear is shorter and has two strands of clear black-banded rubber legs and a waft of white marabou out the back for more movement...

But to be brutally honest, a silver bodied chinchilla rabbit is just as good, but it’s nice to play around...
