Bullshit

Kiwi's are the biggest cheats.

Look at Crowe and Pringle with the ball tampering.
Richie MaCaw constantly offside.
The whole union team is full of cheats
The list goes on.............

They are the sorest losers and the most spoilt winners, and they portray themselves as the nicest and fairest guys..............BULLSHIT

I'm just sick of how we portray ourselves as the nice guys.
When we're just like everyone else.

On the other feed about over population of fisherman on our rivers,
the worst fisherman I come across are usually Kiwi's, and local guides.

We are not above everyone else.

AS A FIFTH GENERATION NEW ZEALANDER I CAN SAY I NEVER CHEAT AT FISHING NOR DID I AS A YOUNG GUY PLAYING SPORT .

HOW COME THIS THREAD CROSSED FROM KIWIS USING "HONOUR" SYSTEMS IN FISHING COMPS TO DISPARAGING VILIFICATION ........ :?:

Hi TIDDLER and others,
I told the story as I thought was very much in the genre of Barry Crump yarns - bit of old school mischief where the judges couldn't tell it was a thawed out fish. Not being a 'club' comp it was open to all comers and with a serious prize. However, perhaps the perp got his comeuppance - a few years later in a late night dash to rescue his 'crop' from rising flood waters on a certain braided river he was reported missing the next day. A helicopter search found him naked clinging to the top of a tree in raging flood waters - he was never quite himself after that ...

Cheers
Kiwioz

Agree with you there TIDDLER. The thread took a real strange turn there!! Hope it was nothing to do with my comment? :?

back onto scales, id just get something like this.

https://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/fishin ... 05d1a93ed1

Modern electronic scales are very accurate and easy to use. If you want to be sure your on the money, then zero them with a net attached. Drop a full 1lt milk bottle in there, and it should read exactly 1kg.

Hi FRASER - THE COMMENT YOU MADE WAS HARMLESS AND NOT THE MAINSPRING FOR THE RANT THAT FOLLOWED .

THANKS FOR THE LINK - I ALREADY HAVE THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF SUCH SCALES . YOUR RIGHT THEY ARE ACCURATE AND CAN WEIGH IN UNITS OF Lbs - Kgs - Jin - and Ozs . ALL DECIMALISED . THE TARE WT FACILITY IS ALSO HANDY .

THE SCALES I'M LOOKING TO BUY (if club approves ) WILL BE SIMILAR TO WHATS IN THE VEGY SECTION OF YOUR SUPERMARKET . OUR CLUB MEMBERS STILL MAINLY FISH BAIT - THREADLINE OR TROLLING . I AM ONE OF THE FEW THAT IS STRICTLY FLY (had many years of the previous and enjoy the new challenges ). WE FISH WATERS THAT ARE OVERSTOCKED WITH TROUT AND THE LEGAL TAKES ARE HIGH . 20yrs AGO THE TROUT WERE SMALL BUT WITH GENEROUS BAG LIMITS THE TROUT ARE NOW GETTING BIGGER . I GOT A 5 Lb 12oz EARLY IN THE SEASON AND I'VE HEARD OF AND SEEN EVIDENCE OF BIGGER .

AT WEIGH IN ITS NOT UNCOMMON FOR A MEMBER TO LAND 3 TO 5 NICE FISH ON THE SCALE . LIKE YOU WE ENJOY THE SOCIAL SIDE AND TALK AND TELL FISHERMANS TAILS . ALL HONEST ....... :P
