Epic fly blanks
I heard that Epic now sources blanks from Asia and when I asked them the source they deleted me!!! So my suspicions were naturally raised. I liked the look of their 690c but does anyone know where these are coming from? Thanks in advance.

Re: Epic fly blanks
As far as I'm aware the blanks are from CTS in Auckland. I don't know about Asia. If that's the case it'd be very recent.

Re: Epic fly blanks
My understanding was the glass blanks were CTS though I don’t know if I ever saw anything about the carbon ones. Just assumed they were as well.

Re: Epic fly blanks
Thanks for that. I got in touch with CTS and here's what they had to say:
Dear Dan
We ceased all white-label / contract manufacturing for other companies, including Epic in 2017, in order to focus on CTS and our CTS brand partners.
All product we make is now either CTS or MAVEN branded, or a co-branded CTS blank. We are the only glass fly blank manufacturer in New Zealand, and also the only manufacturer in New Zealand that utilises helical technology in rod blanks.
- so I think I have my answer. Epic is yet to reply to my question, so will see what they come back with.

Thanks for that Dan. I will be interested in the reply. In their defence, Swift have a very very high standard so whatever blanks they now use, I'm sure they are a high quality. Is there anything mentioned on their FB page re their blanks source?
I had a scroll and saw nothing mentioned of recent times.

Nothing on FB but there was mention on instagram by one of their agents that they had shifted production. I would have thought it was worth being up front about.

Two emails to Epic and no reply. I don't expect one now and I'm pretty disappointed to say the least.
