CD Down under rod

Post by kotuku71 » Fri Aug 18, 2017 5:19 pm

I have just acquired a CD Down under series marked, GIII 9 ft 7 wt that is missing the 3rd section. The rest is in good order. I was planning on using it to chop up for repairs, but maybe someone has one with a broken the tip. If so we could make a whole rod between us!

That seems to be the common issue with that model rod.

Talk to the team at Fishermans Loft in Christchurch as they had a bunch of spare sections for that rod - although I suspect it was in lighter weights.

Maybe try contacting CD themselves? There backup is outstanding. I know its an old rod though so may be too long gone?
