Airflo Drift fly reel repair

Post by Rumrunner » Sun Jun 29, 2014 8:45 pm

My AF Drift 5/6 reel was running rough - some grit in the mechanism so I stripped it down to clean and regrease. BUT .... I forgot the golden rule - watch out for the little pieces and have lost one of the stainless pins. Does anyone know of someone in NZ who may be able to repair the reel?

You tried going back to the store you got it from? If they have any decent tackle guys there, im sure they will be able to fix it for you. Might take a while to get parts in but, hey its lesson learnt (don't loose any bits when you take something apart ;) )

Otherwise if your local tackle store cant help, maybe try contacting Manic directly? There a good bunch and im sure they will do everything they can to help out.

Hmm. We haven't done the drift for a couple of years now but email me on chris@manictackleproject.com and let me know what you've lost and will see if there's anything we can do
