I have the 888 and used it in trade winds on flats for bonefish so it’s not that you can’t use it in wind if you can cast well (which I can’t...) but if your key buying decision is to handle the wind I’d save your money and go for the Primal. If you want an Epic you could try the 890c for a faster action. I haven’t cast it but the 690c six weight is my main rod in the back country and it’s excellent.
