Deep water Spey rig

Post by Southshore » Sat Jan 20, 2024 4:46 pm

Bit of a long shot but using a Skagit Spey type rig, would it be possible to get down 8 metres (25') ?
I was thinking an express sinking tip with a section of leadline. I don't know of any shop rigs available for this kind of Spey fishing.

Cancel the above post, I have rigged up a conventional fly rod with a fast sinking depthfinder fly line. I'll leave the spey for river fishing.
