... call an audible?

Post by brentff » Wed Feb 05, 2020 9:18 pm

We’re currently in Moteuka headed to the west coast on Friday, but looking at weather and closures and flooding could use some advice for fishing (if any left..). Pretty much stuck going to Glenorchy till feb 14 and then was going to Manapouri and then back to Kingston and till the 19th. With the current water... do I call an audible and avoid Te Anau and Kingston area? If so, any ideas where to head elsewhere? We’re booked into Twizel for some hiking on the 19-21, or could change that and head further north again...

What's an Audible? I'm guessing it's nothing to do with hearing loss?

As for fishing, since this was something around a 1:40 year event, it's going to be some time before most water is fishable.

Sorry, audible is American football term for changing the play once they’re already on the field.

Regardless, it has worked out for the most part with most of the rivers in good shape. Only missed a few places on the list due to closed roads or tracks
