Come in Tongariro, over

Post by Southshore » Sat Oct 27, 2018 11:17 am

Hello? Anyone up there on the T this month?. I've been reading about the good runs they're getting there, not huuuuge ones but pretty steady. It's raining up at Turangi at the moment and this will bring some more fresh fish into the river. Good reports from TRM and Mike Hughes.

Now is one of the best times of the year to fish it, they have been running late for many years now and still most anglers think it's a "winter fishery" which is totally wrong! Now is great, levels low and it's mostly sight fishing with nobody about! Get into 'em!

Thanks flyfish, right on there. Time to put away the heavy stuff, dead budgie indicators, and equip up with the #4 & #6. Dry flies, #16 nymphs and keep a cicada handy in the box. And, best of all, wet wading !.
