How very unusual? Must have lost the eye in the very early stages of its life and grown well to have no obvious scar where the eye once was?
Bucking trends in fly fishing since 1970!

Fraser
He was in good condition and feeding his head off when I came across him.
The missing eye hasn't impaired him at all.

I don’t usually get a crack at rainbows so was nice to get amongst some, along with a fat brown yesterday on a lovely little stream I know....

Just finished up a recent trip down to Fiordland - took the fly rods and scored a whole bunch of new ooglies for the tally list.
Finished up the trip for some back-country fishing and wasn't disappointed.

I caught a one-eyed rainbow in the little Styx river (near Ebor NSW) It could see well enough to take the little yellow humpy and nearly put a permanent bend in my little Redington #4. Here is a pic of its bigger mate 5 mins later who also liked the humpy. By the amount of shed Tiger snake skins lying around, I wouldn't like to be there in the summer.
