Re: LAKE HAYES
Ah both lake Hayes and Mill Creek that falls into it and drops out is now nothing more than a drainage ditch that the surrounding businesses dump their waste into.
The council keeps wrapping on about improving water quality, while approving more and more golf course and development either side of the creek. It's an absolute farce. Pretty much everyone stopped fishing it about 5 years ago, nothing in there alive anymore.
ORC should put monitoring point in above and below the golf courses. As soon as unacceptable levels are found, shut the golf course down. That won't happen though as the council (and the mayor) make far too much money for them.
I used to have hope, now i'v just given up. The water is so polluted that I wouldn't want to wade in it anyway.
