Salt flies for Upcoming Trip...

Post by Wilki » Sat Jun 20, 2015 5:37 pm

I have tickets booked for Aitutaki... Been dreaming of this trip for a few years now, finally pulled the trigger :D
It's quite cool to tie something different for a change

A little homemade fly wheel... Picked up a BBQ rotisserie motor from the tip lus a few scraps around home, the only cost was the new battery

Can't wait to see the report mate. I had a ball there when I went last spring.

There a crazy fish to chase. Completely unlike trout, yet In some ways similar. You can make the perfect cast, with the exact right fly and get a refusal. Next fish, you cock the cast up, and the fly is wrong, and they take it with vigor.

You fishing with Butch? Top man to fish with. I highly recommend you do!

Bucking trends in fly fishing since 1970!

Playing with some crinkly fine rubber legs, hoping it'll throw some extra action to the fly???
